Economic Interventionism and International Trade Law in the Covid Era

Abstract Economic interventionism in the form of subsidization and operation state-owned enterprises (SOEs) is today among main frontlines international trade conflicts. Along with restrictions new legislation designed to impact cross-border investment, mergers, acquisitions, use subsidies countervailing measures by governments trade-distorting effects SOEs have lately caused harsh controversies within outside World Trade Organization (WTO) between its members. Going forward, there are reasons expect these tensions intensify rather than diminish number importance. This Special Issue aims at examining development rules regulating state against background Covid-19 global pandemic present shifts geopolitics economy. introduction, presenting art on questions tackled this highlighting contribution existing literature topic, offers different considerations aimed bringing together various trends emerging from Articles contained Issue.
